Not So Bad Lad – 2.45 Kilbeggan (25/1 – Various)
The opening contest on the Kilbeggan card sees an interesting runner in the form of Not So Bad Lad.
The five-year-old makes his rules debut this afternoon and Andrew Lynch’s runner possesses an intriguing pedigree.
Sired by five-time Group 1 winner Dylan Thomas, the gelding is a half-brother to bumper and hurdle winners Kilconny Bridge and Benny’s Bridge and his dam (Wattle Bridge) is out of former Thyestes Chase winner Be My Belle.
The jockey booking produces further interest, as dual Grade 1 winner Keith Donoghue is pencilled in to ride him.
At a price of 25/1, Not So Bad Lad could well sneak into the places on his maiden start over obstacles.
