2021 Ryanair victor Allaho is set to drop down to two-miles and rival the fellow Willie Mullins trained Chacun Pour Soi at Punchestown next week, his handler has confirmed.

The Cheveley Park Stud representative put in a flawless display at the Cheltenham Festival last month and is now set to drop back in trip for a tussle with his star stable-mate, who finished third in the Champion Chase at Prestbury Park.

Allaho battered the Ryanair field to secure a first Grade 1 win over fences

Fellow Closutton contender Cilaos Emery could also feature in next week’s William Hill Champion Chase.

Mullins told Sky Sports: “The William Hill Champion Chase could be a good race.

“At the moment I’m looking at the race for Allaho. I’d just like to see what he can do over two miles – he jumps so efficiently and so well, that is where my head is at at the moment.

"I think this is the natural race for Chacun Pour Soi. There will be plenty of pace on and Cilaos Emery will probably go there as well, so we will be well represented in the race."
