CHELTENHAM FESTIVAL SELECTION: BARDENSTOWN LAD | 2:50pm – Albert Bartlett Novices’ Hurdle (Grade 1)

Under the guidance of John McConnell, Bardenstown Lad could well be a surprise player in the Albert Bartlett on the final day of the Cheltenham Festival.

The gelding is given his first crack in Graded company, following a progressive season over hurdles for his connections

Could Bardenstown Lad spring a surprise at the Festival?

The seven-year-old has won four of his five starts over obstacles, including success at Cheltenham over three miles back in October.

The soft ground is a slight unknown under rules but he did claim success in those conditions in two point starts as well as a bumper.

At the current price of 20/1, Bardenstown Lad could well hint at each-way value on Friday.
