A gutsy performance from Sams Profile in the John Mulhern Galmoy Hurdle at Gowran Park has seen bookmakers slash his odds from 66/1 to 20/1 for the Stayers’ Hurdle at the Cheltenham Festival.

Mouse Morris’ seven-year-old came from the back of the pack and fought off the challenging Dior Kell, who has seen his Stayers’ price cut from 50/1 to 25/1, to land a maiden Graded victory on his first start over hurdles since May 2019.

Sixshooter held on to take third, while race favourite Great White Shark could only claim seventh in a disappointing show for Willie Mullins.

Coko Beach impressed in his first-time outing in blinkers, landing the the Goffs Thyestes Handicap Chase for Gordon Elliott.

The six-year-old jumped fluently throughout and travelled superbly well in the final stages to land only his fourth win over fences and now been trimmed down to 16/1 and 20/1 respectively for the National Hunt Chase and Brown Advisory Plate.

Stablemate Run Wild Fred, now 14/1 for the Kim Muir Challenge Cup, stayed on to claim second while Willie Mullins’ Class Conti took third.
