CHELTENHAM FESTIVAL SELECTION: SAINT SEGAL | 4:50pm Boodles Juvenile Handicap Hurdle (Grade 3)

The Boodles is made for each-way punters, with our eyes drawn to the Jane Williams-trained SAINT SEGAL in the two-mile handicap hurdle.

The four-year-old has shown promise on his first three starts under rules, claiming success in two minor hurdle races with a second-place finish in Grade 1 company sandwiched between them.

Saint Segal finished second behind Gary Moore’s Porticello at Chepstow in December

That’s where Saint Segal’s best form lies, as he finished behind Triumph contender Porticello and has beaten several entries in this field that will feature in the contest as well.

The declaration of good to soft ground should play in his favour and while he is yet to experience a large-field handicap, he looks the best of the British hopes in this contest.

At the current price of 18/1, Saint Segal could well be worth taking a chance on here at Cheltenham.
