An intriguing four-runner field but the vote goes to the unexposed gelding from Nigel Twiston-Davies’s yard, who scored a facile success on hurdles debut at Worcester last time out.
He had some strong bumper form, winning his first two career starts before a fine second in a Listed race at Newbury, before finishing ninth in the Champion Bumper at the Festival back in March.
Tritonic flattered to deceive in the Triumph and has been beaten in two flat starts since, so looks well worth taking on at the prices.

The son of Stowoway’s recent Worcester form was boosted last weekend and he’s only 3lb higher for that win here, looking very well weighted indeed.
Phillip Hobbs’s yard is in flying form at the minute and their nine-year-old could be worth taking a chance on to down the colours of 2021 Grand Annual winner, Sky Pirate.
He wouldn’t want much more rain but holds solid claims based on his summer exploits this campaign.
