Today’s racing attention turns to Market Rasen and Ascot, following our two winners from Thursday’s Lucky 15.
Our profit across the last two days from £30 (£1 per bet) in stakes has been £66.60.
Going Gone (2:30pm) & Stylish Performer (3:00pm)
Jim Boyle’s Going Gone makes his third racecourse appearance and is the outsider of a three-runner field.
He made a creditable debut at Goodwood in October, with the two ahead of him going onto win again since, while he bumped into another one at Bath who has also go in once again in the aftermath.
Stylish Performer, meanwhile, is chasing a hat-trick after a duo of wins at Wolverhampton and makes his handicap debut over Hollie Doyle.
An opening mark of 86 could underestimate him on his first run on the turf and he looks to possess plenty of value in this contest.
Ashfield Paddy (2:35pm) & Mexican Boy (4:10pm)
Jonjo O’Neill’s Ashfield Paddy was beaten by a subsequent winner at Carlisle last time out so looks well handicapped off the same mark.
As a winning pointer, the longer trip was always where we’d expect to see his best form, and he has excelled fairly creditably back over timber so looks to hold good claims here.
Olly Murphy and Aidan Coleman team up in the finale, and both trainer and rider were the best performing individuals in their trade at this course last year.
That being said, perhaps it is best to side with Mexican Boy who finished second at Warwick on debut to a horse who had a run under his belt.
Warren Chase claimed their first winner of the new season yesterday and can pick up another one here.
