Newmarket
Serena’s Queen (5:00pm) [Dom’s Pick] & Aaddeey (6:40pm) [Reece’s Pick]

Ralph Beckett’s Serena’s Queen heads for this afternoon’s opener at Newmarket looking to land a hat-trick under Hector Crouch and made a positive start to the turf last time out at Salisbury.

She is bound to improve bounds for that and a step back up to the mile trip is sure to suit, looking fairly well handicapped off a mark of 75 based on what she has showed so far.

Today’s Newmarket card kickstarts at 5:00pm

Simon & Ed Crisford, meanwhile, are represented by New Approach gelding Aaddeey whose Newbury form was given an almighty boost when the horse he chased home won again at York yesterday.

A 2lbs raise in the weights on the back of that could prove fairly lenient and he looks the most reliable sort in this contest.

Fontwell
Chapmanshype (5:20pm) [Dom’s Pick] & Made For You (7:05pm) [Reece’s Pick: NON-RUNNER]

Jamie Snowden’s likeable Chapmanshype makes his chase bow at his beloved West Sussex track this evening under usual partner, Gavin Sheehan.

The seven-year-old wasn’t seen to best effect at Aintree on his last start, but that was his first run since Halloween in what was a relatively lightly raced campaign for the son of Aizavoski.

Chapmanshype ridden by Gavin Sheehan clear the last to win The Sky Sports Racing Sky 415 Handicap Hurdle at Fontwell Park Racecourse

But he returns to a course where he has won all four of his starts as he heads over larger obstacles for the first time and even in spite of giving his nearest rival 7lbs, he still looks a good bet at the prices.
