2BX1M5G Creative Force ridden by William Buick (left) wins the Betway Maiden Stakes (Div 2) at Newmarket Racecourse.

Saturday’s race action is headlined by the Group 1 Lockinge Stakes at Newbury, while there is an intriguing jumps card at Bangor-on-Dee in the early afternoon.

Our team has selected our best four best bets of day, with a current profit of £35.16 for the week so far.

Bangor-on-Dee’s card this Saturday starts at 1:10pm
Newbury
Creative Force (1:50pm) [Reece’s Pick] & Logician (2:25pm) [Dom’s Pick]

Charlie Appleby’s Creative Force disappointed in the Coventry at Royal Ascot but has done nothing wrong otherwise, landing his two starts so far this season.

Newbury is one of Britain’s most popular duel-purpose tracks, hosting National Hunt and Flat racing all year round

He receives 3lbs off Tactical, which may just swing this in his favour and we may not know the limit of his talents just yet.

Charlie Appleby will be hoping for a Newbury success this weekend

A more proven performer, however, is John & Thady Gosden’s Logician, who has only been seen twice since winning the St Leger.

He kept his unbeaten record intact at Doncaster before finishing land of the quartet at York, but he could be one to bounce back and gets weight off Al Aasy, making him 6lbs well in on ratings.

Frankie Dettori is back in the saddle and he has won at this track twice before.

Armattiekan (2:50pm) [Reece’s Pick] & Franks Fancy (3:25pm) [Dom’s Pick]

Donald McCain Jr’s seven-year-old Armattiekan gave a solid account over course-and-distance here last month and has only been raised 1lbs for his troubles.

That form wasn’t done too much harm in the aftermath and his handler was the third-most winning trainer at this track last season.

Brian Hughes has five rides at Bangor-on-Dee this weekend

Brian Hughes, on the other hand, ensured he would finish the campaign at the Welsh track as its joint-most successful rider, so his mount is taken to secure a second win in his last three outings.

Later in the card, Franks Fancy ran a flattener in a competitive contest at Newcastle in November but has been pretty consistent on the whole otherwise.

CHRIS GRANT TRAINER WETHERBY RACECOURSE WETHERBY ENGLAND 28 October 2011
Chris Grant’s Franks Fancy could be a lively outsider in the 3:25pm at Bangor this weekend

He is a winning pointer so has had experience over fences before and based on his rating over hurdles, he is sure to go close even giving weight away to most of his rivals.
