Find out who we’re backing here…
Ben Pauling's charge looks to have been found a very good opportunity to shed his maiden tag in a weak looking affair here.
He remains fairly unexposed over fences but has not done a lot wrong since switching to the sphere, finishing third on each of his last three outings to date.
Luca Morgan claims a handy 5lbs off his back and he has ran well at the course on a couple of occasions in the past.
A last time out winner at Newcastle, Nick Williams will be hoping his representative can land an April double at Warwick on Thursday.
Previously a course winner, the form of his Ludlow second was done no harm when the winner went in again at Ayr earlier this week and his 3lbs rise from the handicapper has been eased with conditional Chester Williams back in the plate.
Dom's NAP of the day is another rival in this race.
Marco Botti's gelding has been beaten by three horses in the past named Bertie's Wish, Beautiful Bertie and Sweet Bertie.
There are no Bertie's in this field, however, and this looks to provide a good opportunity to land a first success since his debut at Newmarket.
His only run on the turf was an underwhelming display but it was a hot renewal of the Yearling Stakes at York, and he's in a much smaller field over a longer trip now.
Ghost Rider could be the class act in the field but he has to respond to being outclassed in a Listed contest at Newcastle last time out.
Tim Easterby's seven-year-old is a previous C&D winner from a 1lbs higher mark, as well as two other victories at the course, and he had a pipe opener at Redcar earlier this month.
The quick conditions will be right up his street and hopefully his seasonal debut has got him geared up for a return to his favourite track.
He is one of two rides on the card for pilot David Allan.
