John Ryan’s recent Sligo successor is in fine fettle of late and looks nicely weighted here, before even taking into account Shane Fitzgerald’s 7lb claim.
He wan a cracker at the Galway Festival, form which was franked at the Ebor Festival earlier this week, and the drop back to that trip here should suit once again.
Having won twice in quick succession in July and this month, the quick turnaround doesn’t look to obviously hinder him and he may present value for punters ahead of his County Kerry appearance.
The form of John McConnell’s representatives’ Wexford win has been very well boosted in the aftermath and he remains unexposed with only three starts under rules to date.
He was a point-to-point in 2019, though, so his future was always likely to lie over a longer trip and top pilot Simon Torrens is back aboard.
The slight drop back in trip shouldn’t be of any major concern and he can secure a second win in a row on his course debut.
Dominic Chapman is senior content writer at Low6 with a passion for horse racing. He provides a NAP and NB every day throughout the week on selected National Hunt and Flat cards in both Britain and Ireland. Additionally, he hosts the Paddock Picks Podcast with former Welsh Grand National-winning pilot, Charlie Poste - the pair interviewing and discussing current racing topics with a special guest every week.
