Saturday’s only jumps meeting takes place at Limerick and our team have selected our best bet of the day.

Can duel Gold Cup-winning pilot Paul Townend steer our Limerick NAP to success?

With a pleasing enough return to the racetrack under his belt last time out, Willie Mullins saddles Golden Spread to just his second start since March 2020, and the same number of outings over fences.

A former winning hurdler, he may come on for that outing at Kilbeggan and is one of only two contenders making the long trip from Closutton this weekend.

He has won twice in good ground before so the recent lack of rain in Ireland isn’t an obvious negative for a yard who aren’t firing on all cylinders of late, but given connections, it would be folly to overlook a horse who is still very lightly raced given the fact he is only eight-years-old.
