A gelding that holds plenty of experience in point-to-point racing, Rewritetherules returns to racing under rules in a 2m5½f Handicap Hurdle at Ballinrobe.
The seven-year-old, who has claimed several wins in both Irish point and hunter chases, tackles hurdles for only the third time in his career.
The gelding’s last run under rules didn’t go to plan, as he finished 41 lengths behind the winner in seventh place.
John Joseph Hanlon’s recruit will need to give a better account of himself here, but he has proven his stamina previously and he could well have needed the last outing.
At a potential starting price of 16/1, Rewritetherules could run into the places here.
