Wynford – 1:50 Market Rasen (12/1 – William Hill)

A new recruit to Rebecca Menzies’ yard, Wynford could prove to be of some value in a 2m4½f Handicap Hurdle at Market Rasen on Sunday.

The eight-year-old was given a run on the flat at the beginning of June before switching back to hurdles, giving a fair account over C&D.

Could Wynford return to winning ways for Rebecca Menzies?

The gelding finished fourth, seven and a quarter lengths behind the winner and has been dropped 3lbs in the ratings after that run.

He is now a whopping 30lbs below his last winning mark, but he has shown hints of improvement under his new trainer and he could well strike in this company.

At the price of 12/1, Wynford could push into the frame here.
