Cheer’s Delboy – 7.20 Uttoxeter (18/1 – William Hill)
A runner that has seen a gradual decline in his rating over the last 12 months, Cheer’s Delboy could well be at a decent mark to compete in a 2m7½f novices’ handicap hurdle at Uttoxeter.
The eight-year-old has been dropped a further 4lbs after finishing fifth at Warwick last time out, finishing 18 ½ lengths behind the winner.
The gelding has shown a preference for better conditions, as he has finished in the top five in two of his last run on good to soft ground or better.
Robin Dickin’s recruit could benefit with the lighter weight here and also has a 3lb claimer booked in as well.
With a price of 18/1, Cheer’s Delboy could make the places in this contest.
