A relatively new recruit of Mel Rowley’s yard, Aumerle could hint at some value in a 2m Novices’ Hurdle at Uttoxeter.
The nine-year-old landed three successes on the flat and has been switched to hurdles quite late on into his racing career.
The gelding has made two starts over obstacles to date, with his latest run at Southwell hinting at some potential.
He kept on well in the final stages to claim fourth, finishing five lengths behind the winner No Ordinary Joe who is considered to be a seriously exciting prospect to watch out for.
At the price of 12/1, Aumerle could push into the frame here.
