After yesterday’s banker at Worcester was a late non-runner, attention for the pre-weekend National Hunt turns to Market Rasen.
Having tipped a winning Olly Murphy charge in Lincolnshire last month, perhaps his five-year-old Restandbethankful is the one to beat in the opener on Friday.
The son of Califet picked up the silver medal on his debut over timber at Newbury in December behind a horse now rated in the mid-120s, and the selection may not have to be too far behind that to pick up a win in this one.
Murphy’s Warren Chase yard opened their account for the new season yesterday at Huntingdon after a stellar 2020/21 campaign and the handler looks to have found a good opportunity for his McNeill Family representative to kickstart his pre-weekend with a success.
