Perth’s NAP: MRS HYDE | 3:50pm Edinburgh Gin Stone Of Destiny Handicap Hurdle | Dom’s Pick
Brian Ellison’s mare failed to fire in the Summer Handicap Hurdle at Market Rasen on her first appearance over timber for three months, but she’s a former course-and-distance winner and a mark of 133 doesn’t look overwhelming on reappearance.
She was a Listed winner on two occasions last season and despite a couple of lesser efforts since the turn of the year, she could yet still have enough class to see off this field under a 7lb claimer.
This doesn’t appear an overly deep field and she’s selected to return to winning ways.
NB: JUGE ET PARTI | 3:20pm SPM Scotland Novices’ Limited Handicap Chase
The Martaline 8-year-old is chasing a hat-trick after two dominating performances over fences in the last few months.
He’s been consistent for connections in his 26-race career, either winning or placing on 15 occasions and remains relatively unexposed ahead of his track return.
The step back down in trip could be cause for concern given that his last two wins have been over three miles, including at this track, but he’s clearly on an upward curve and could be worth chancing in this trio.
