The April Meeting
Just a matter of a few weeks after The Festival has concluded, the horses come thundering back down the final straight at Cheltenham Racecourse.
The atmospheric buzz is yet to deplete and doesn’t take long for excitement levels to reach pinnacle levels with the first featured race of the two-day occasion taking place just two races into the event.
The fixtures can never compare to those of The Festival, yet crowds still flock into Cheltenham in their thousands and replicate the pulsating atmosphere as if The Cheltenham Festival never ended.
The April Meeting hosts a total of fourteen races split across two seven racecards on each of the two days with a mixture of Hurdles and Steeple Chases.
The second races of each of the two days are the featured races. The Day One featured race is The Cure Parkinson’s and Hambo Foundation Silver Trophy Steeple Chase. This is a limited handicap, grade 1, class 2, which begins at 14:40. The Day Two featured race is The EBF Mares’ Novices’ Handicap Steeple Chase Finale, a class 1 listed Steeple Chase that also begins at 14:40.
The 2021 edition of The April Meeting is scheduled to take place from Wednesday the 14th to Thursday the 15th April.
Day One
Day One of The April Meeting takes place on Wednesday the 14th April 2021 at Cheltenham Racecourse. It consists of 7 fixtures on the racecard with a mixture of Hurdles and Steeplechases. The second race of the day is the featured race of this racecard and it is The Cure Parkinson’s and Hambo Foundation Silver Trophy Steeple Chase beginning at 14:40.
The CITIPOST Novices’ Hurdle Race
The primary race of The April Meeting, The CITIPOST Novices’ Hurdle Race, commences at 14:05. This Hurdle race is two miles and four and a half furlongs in length.

The penultimate race of Day One at The Cheltenham April Meeting is The Weatherite Handicap Steeple Chase. Beginning at 17:00, this fantastic Steeple Chase measures approximately two miles and two furlongs.
