Countryside Day is the first day of three that are scheduled for The November Meeting at Cheltenham Racecourse, which takes place, you guessed it, in November every year.

Over the three days, The November Meeting offers 19 excellent races with a high-value feature race on each day, just a few weeks after the conclusion of The Showcase.

As well as Countryside Day, this National Hunt meeting also presents Paddy Power Day, featuring The Paddy Power Gold Cup Steeple Chase, and The November Meeting Sunday which features The Unibet Greatwood Handicap Hurdle Race.

Countryside Day at The November Meeting is booked in for Friday the 12th of November 2021, hosting The Mucking Brilliant Paddy Power Handicap Chase as the day’s feature fixture.

The Markel Insurance Conditional Jockeys Handicap Hurdle Race

The Markel Insurance Conditional Jockeys Handicap Hurdle Race is a Class 3 National Hunt handicap hurdle race that serves as a qualifier for The Challenger Staying Hurdle Series Final.

The total race distance for this qualifier is 2 miles, 5 furlongs and 26 yards, and it features 10 hurdles along its running on the old course of Cheltenham.

The SSS Super Alloys Supports Racing Welfare Novices Steeple Chase is a Class 2 National Hunt Steeplechase that takes residency at The November Meeting at Cheltenham Racecourse.

The race covers a total distance of 2 miles, 4 furlongs and 44 yards along the old course of Cheltenham and features 16 fences for the contending horses to clear.

For horses to participate and compete for a share of the £20,000 prize pool, they must be aged four years or above. The earnings for each placement position are as follows:

  • 1st place – £12,512
  • 2nd place – £3,696
  • 3rd place – £1,848
  • 4th place – £924

The SSS Super Alloys Supports Racing Welfare Novices Steeple Chase is the third race of Countryside Day at The November Meeting which immediately follows the day’s featured race at 14:25.

The Glenfarclas Cross Country Handicap Steeplechase

The Glenfarclas Cross Country Handicap Steeplechase is a Class 2 National Hunt handicap steeplechase and a member fixture of Day One at The November Meeting.

3 miles, 6 furlongs and 37 yards is the distance this excellent race covers on the old course of Cheltenham, featuring a mighty 32 fences along its route.

To participate in this lengthy cross country race, contending horses must be 5 years of age or above. The purse they will be competing for a share of will be £20,000, which is split proportionately in the following arrangement:

The Valda Energy Novices Handicap Hurdle Race is a Class 3 National Hunt handicap hurdle race that is scribbled in the November Meeting calendar and run at Cheltenham Racecourse every year.

This race features 8 hurdles along the old course of Cheltenham, measuring a total race distance of 2 miles and 87 yards and offering a prize pool of £12,500 which is split accordingly:
