Burning Victory – 6.15 Galway (20/1 – Coral + William Hill)

Hailing from Willie Mullins’ yard, Burning Victory could strike in handicap company in the Galway Hurdle on Thursday evening.

The five-year-old benefitted from Goshen unseating his rider in the 2020 Triumph Hurdle at the Cheltenham Festival, making up ground to claim victory by two and three-quarter length.

The mare has only raced twice since her Cheltenham appearance, finishing 39 lengths on the pace in the Irish Mares’ Champion Hurdle at Punchestown in May.

She bounced back to winning ways in France, claiming the 2m1f Prix de Croix-Luizet at Lyon Parilly last month.

With a 7lb claimer booked in and her effectiveness over this distance, Burning Victory could outrun her 20/1 price tag here.
