Making only his second start over hurdles, Fox’s Socks could potentially give a better account of himself at Southwell on Tuesday afternoon for Tom Lacey.
Formerly trained by Nicky Henderson, the six-year-old showed some promises in two bumpers in the 2019/20 season including finishing second on the all-weather at Wolverhampton.
The son of Crillon returned after a 461-day absence to make his debut over hurdles, but he struggled and weakened away at two out.
He should come on for that run and could well show some progress in this level of company.
With a price of 22/1, Fox’s Stocks could be competitive here.
